PARTNERS
“Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat what they produce. Take wives and have sons and daughters; …multiply there, and do not decrease. But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
- Jeremiah 29v7
FAITHFUL PRESENCE
Immanuel's partnership model is designed to embrace proximity and calling, with an emphasis on creating long term relationships and neighbors. As such, the majority of our partnerships are faith-based and local. Immanuel offers three ways to serve our partners while supporting the broader needs of our neighborhoods: Drives, Community Events, and Individual Support. Details on upcoming opportunities can be found below…
DRIVES
Each month, we host resource drives that both provide for the material needs of our partners while creating partner awareness among parishioners. These are most often diaper, food, and clothing donations drives and items can be dropped off on Sundays at Immanuel.
Upcoming Drives
This February, we’re honored to feature Friends of Refugees. Friends of Refugees is a faith-based non profit with the mission to help refugees build abundant new lives in America. They focus on the long-term skills and relationships families need for healthy integration into American life.
Friends of Refugees is asking Immanuel members to assist by purchasing the requested educational materials to fill 32 Enrichment Bags for young students enrolled in the preschool, “Mommy & Me,” literacy program. These Enrichment Bags will allow learning to continue over breaks for their students in the Green class. You can purchase those items from their wishlist using the link found here. Items can be dropped off on Sundays at the Welcome Desk.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
We have multiple community-wide volunteer opportunities for all ages and stages of life. These provide the volunteer capacity necessary for partner programs to thrive, while also creating an environment for relationships between parishioners to grow.
Ways to Get Involved
Join for a Day of Service. Sign up with others, or as an individual. March 21, 10am-1pm. Registration link here.
Become a program volunteer. More information about consistent volunteer opportunities HERE.
Our Partners
Most of our partners have multiple individual opportunities to serve. Immanuel has a Partner Champion who serves on Immanuel's Outreach Committee. This Champion functions as the lead contact and presence for each individual partner.
To learn more and get connected with one of our partners directly, contact the partner directly at one of the sites below. For more information on partners and how to get involved, set up a meeting with a member of our committee at partners@immanuelatl.org.
