Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feast

Immanuel community–come one, come all! Let’s eat pancakes together! Shrove Tuesday is a traditional pre-Lent celebration where people use up their butter, eggs, and flour in preparation for fasting.

Historically, on the eve of Lent, church bells would ring out, people would come to church to confess sins and receive forgiveness, and pancakes would be had by all! At Immanuel, we are excited to carry the tradition by feasting together on pancakes, turkey sausage, and fruit.

REGISTER by February 11th for ample food planning. Also, we need volunteers to set up, clean up, and make pancakes! You can sign up to volunteer HERE. Email karen@immanuelatl.org for more information.

Lay-Leader Training: Leadership and the Enneagram

Lay-Leader Training: Leadership and the Enneagram

In this session of lay leader training, we examine the Enneagram as a tool to help us understand ourselves and those around us. The main questions in this session are “How does God work through my personality?” and “How is God transforming my personality?” If spiritual formation is allowing God to work in and through us, then it is helpful to understand how we are wired and also what invitations of growth the Lord has for us.

The hope of each of these sessions is to equip our lay leaders/volunteers (or those who desire to be lay leaders) in your walk with God and in your service in the church.
