Neighborhood Groups

Community

One of the main ways we engage in community is through Neighborhood Groups. These groups are based on geography, which we have found is the easiest way to really do life together. They also tend to have greater diversity in life stages and interests because they are formed around proximity rather than affinity. These groups are closed in order to keep the numbers small enough to have deep relationships. We open groups that have space for more people and create new groups twice a year—once in September and once in January. We take a short break during the summer.

We desire Neighborhood Groups to be both formational and relational, so we have deep discussions as well as fellowship together. Our hope is that these groups grow over time into places of hope and healing, places where our values have flesh and blood.

Groups run September - May each year. Groups are open to sign up in August and January each year, but there are also community gatherings and events throughout the year where you can connect with people in your part of town even if you are not yet in a group. If you would like to join a group at another time during the year, please reach out to Allison Keene.
